Two women from the Kansas City area are involved in the new season of ABC's hit show "The Bachelor."

This season's show takes place in Paris. The bachelor is Travis Stork, a 33-year-old doctor from Nashville, Tenn.

Susan, a financial associate from Overland Park, was chosen by Stork to stay another week.

Lisa Forbes, an IT recruiter from Overland Park, appeared on the premiere episode Monday, but she was not one of 12 women Stork asked to remain.

KMBC's Kris Ketz reported that there was a big "Bachelor" watch party in Overland Park Monday night. Forbes and her relatives attended the party.

"Were you disappointed to leave?" Ketz asked.

"Absolutely ... I wanted to stay the entire time and make it as far as I could," Forbes said.

She said the day after she was cut from the show, she was able to spend some time exploring Paris before she came back home.

"The Bachelor" airs on KMBC 9 on Mondays at 9 p.m.
