WICHITA, Kan. -- One child was killed and another seriously injured when the two got trapped inside an old freezer.

Police said a 5-year-old boy and his 3-year-old sister were playing in the basement of a Wichita home when they got trapped inside an antique icebox.

When the mother found the children, she called 911. A dispatcher talked the mother through CPR. According to reports, the boy started breathing again, but he later died at a hospital.

The girl was rushed to a hospital in serious condition.

Police said it appears to be a terrible accident.
