BUCKNER, Mo. -- Two people were injured Monday in a dog attack in northeast Jackson County.Officials said a couple in their 30s was walking near 2921 North Hoover Road when a mastiff attacked the man.KMBC's Marcus Moore reported that the woman called for help and a neighbor brought over a knife. The dog, which weighed more than 100 pounds, was stabbed to death during the struggle.
The man and woman were taken to a hospital. Their conditions were not released.Neighbors said this isn't the first time the mastiff has attacked someone.The man who owned the dog was taken into custody after he allegedly threatened a reporter with a weapon, Moore reported.
