LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Police in Louisville arrested a Missouri woman at the Kentucky State Fair on Monday after an officer saw her pour wine into her baby's feeding bottle.Kathryn Bowen, 40, of Peculiar, Mo., was released from jail Tuesday on her own recognizance.Police said an officer saw Bown buy wine at Freedom Hall, pour it into the baby bottle and give it to her 11-month-old daughter.
According to the police report, Bowen told the officer she gave the child wine to help her sleep.Bowen was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, and the child was placed in protective custody.Louisville court records did not list an attorney for Bowen. She is scheduled for arraignment on Friday.
