UPDATED: 6:40 pm CDT October 25, 2004

Police are asking for the public's help in solving the murder of a Raytown couple.

John and Mildred Caylor were found dead inside their Bible store in broad daylight Wednesday.

Police think their deaths were the result of a robbery gone bad.

"I don't understand why anybody could do something like this to a 79-, 76-year-old couple, who have, over the years in this community, tried to give so much to so many people," the couple's son, Rick Caylor, said.

Police think there were several other people in the store the day of the murders.

Officers want to talk to those people. The number to call is (816) 737-6123.

The Caylor Family has now set up a reward fund to be administered through the Tips Hotline.

Checks can be sent to:

Caylor Reward Fund
Bank of America
10017 East 63rd Street
Raytown, MO 64133
