UPDATED: 10:03 am CST November 9, 2004

An injured bobcat was found near 119th Street and Greenwood Monday afternoon.

Animal Control officers tracked the animal near a church in the 14300 block of West 119th Street where it was captured.

Authorities initially believed the bobcat may have been hit by a vehicle, but they said they are not certain of that.

Rescue group Operation Wildlife is taking care of the animal and will determine if it can be saved.
