Animal Control officers were called early Thursday morning to deal with an injured bobcat.

The animal apparently ran into a tire on a car driven by John Fenton, 39, of Spring Hill, near 159th Street and Lone Elm about 7 a.m. KMBC's Brenda Washington reported the animal suffered a nose injury and an injury to a back leg.

Officers said that when they went to pick up her up, the cat ran up a tree. They were able to get her out and plan to take the cat to a shelter for treatment.
