Officer Injured During Police Chase

Motorcycle Collides With Car In KCK Intersection

A police officer was injured chasing a burglary suspect Thursday afternoon.

KCK motorcycle crash

Officers received a call about someone stealing a motorcycle from a garage. Officers spotted the suspect's vehicle and chased him.

An officer on a motorcycle collided with another car while going through an intersection at 60th Street and Leavenworth Road.

A Kansas trooper said the driver of the car didn't see the motorcycle.

The officer was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

The burglary suspect was taken into custody.

No names were released.
