KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Four months after a Kansas City woman disappeared, a pair of anonymous letters arrive.Summer Shipp, 54, disappeared in December while conducting door-to-door research in Independence. Her car was later found, but there has been no sign of her, despite a busy campaign of fliers and billboards.
Shipp's daughter, Brandi Shipp, set up a post office box for anonymous tips. Last week, two letters arrived. Both of the senders said they saw Shipp around the time she disappeared.Independence police said the time and locations mentioned in the letters are too vague. Sgt. Dennis Green said detectives checked the general area mentioned, but found nothing.Anyone with information in the case can contact the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-8477. There is a $100,000 reward for information.Web Link:
