Police Arrest 1 After Robbery At Bank Drive Up

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Police arrested one person, but they are searching for two more people in connection with a robbery at bank drive up at 87th Street and Blue Ridge Friday morning.Judy Bestor was trying to make a deposit for her daughter at the US Bank when a car pulled up."She was in the drive-through and she was pistol-whipped and robbed," Bestor's daughter, Janelle Ward, said.
One of the men came up to her window and demanded money. When she said she didn't have any, the man hit her several times in the head with a handgun and stole a fanny pack from her SUV. The man then jumped into a car and took off."She's got a bump on the back of her head," Ward said.Bestor's family comforted her after the attack."I was really mad. Her out of all people. Why did they have to pick her?" Ward said.Police spotted the getaway car shortly after the robbery and the suspects took off, leading officers on a chase. They bailed out of the car at 33rd Street and South Benton. Officers arrested one person.
