The big cats have been spotted near a park and school around Clay Meadows neighborhood.Paige Wagner was babysitting earlier this month when she had a bobcat scare."It was walking down on the path ... (we said) that's not a kitty, it was a bobcat," Wagner said. "(We) decided to go inside because we didn't want anything to happen."Officials said more animals are coming in contact with people because the prairie is being developed."This area that we are having the sightings at within the last 10 years this has all converted from open land to subdivisions. Anytime you border up to where wildlife was they are going to stay out on the fringe," said Lt. Mark Misenhelter. So far, no injuries have been reported. If you see a bobcat, officials want you to contact them so they can trap it. Never approach a bobcat, and do not store pet foot outside.
