Police Search For Motive, Attacker

LENEXA, Kan. -- A man in his 40s was rushed to an Overland Park hospital with serious injuries after being stabbed in the back Friday afternoon, police said.The attack happened at about 1:15 p.m. in the 13800 block of West 109th Street. The victim was found by his wife, KMBC's Jim Flink reported.The wife ran to a neighbor for help.
"She was really panicked. When I talked to her, she was in shock," neighbor Dereck Counch said.The victim was upgraded to stable condition Friday evening, officials said.No arrests have been made and officials are searching for a motive in the attack. Police said the victim was believed to have been home alone, but the garage door was open when investigators arrived. No witnesses have come forward.
