KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A metro-area boy is being treated for bacterial meningitis.KMBC's Marcus Moore reported Friday that the boy is a fourth-grader at St. Elizabeth School in Kansas City.A relative said the boy is in a coma at Children's Mercy Hospital.
Health officials don't know how the boy got the virus, but the case appears to be isolated and there is no threat to other children.A student told KMBC that his classmates were writing get-well cards to the boy.
