WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- A high school football coach has resigned amid an alleged hazing investigation.Officials with the Warrensburg R-6 School District said Tuesday that Shane Taylor has resigned as head football coach of the Warrensburg Tigers, effective immediately.School officials also announced Tuesday that Guy Albert will finish out the season as head football coach. He has taught in the district for the last 22 years and has coached varsity football, volleyball and soccer.
Earlier this month, Taylor was placed on administrative leave and five football players were disciplined for allegedly playing a prank on some younger players.Taylor had been head football coach for five years, and his record was 29-22. His team won the district in 2001.In a news release, school officials said Taylor resigned due to "a difference in coaching philosophy."Officials said Taylor's wife, Rebecca Taylor, has also resigned from the district.
