BELTON, Mo. -- Charles Brown's passion is sparked by designing and creating steel furniture with his partners at PK Steel Designs. But lately, it's his high school, Shawnee Mission North, that has inspired him, KMBC's Donna Pitman reported."I just hope people will go. It's the first reunion and it's the first time everyone is going to see each other," Brown said.Pitman reported that Brown took pictures of his school and had them etched into stone and put in a table he designed. It will be auctioned off at his 10-year reunion in the fall.
"Somebody would win it and have it forever and 30 years from now, their kids or grandkids will be like, 'Golly, you graduated in 1996?'" Brown said. The money from the auction will go toward future reunions."It's furniture, but it's also a timepiece -- an instant relic. For whoever wins it can always look back and remember high school," Brown said.More Information:
