Parade Kicks Off American Royal Season

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The American Royal season has begun.
The 81st annual American Royal parade kicked off on Sept. 30 at 12 p.m. KMBC's Bryan Busby said the weather was perfect for the parade and hundreds of people lined the parade route to join in on the fun.
The parade started at Pershing Road and Grand Avenue and went east on Pershing, then north on Grand, ending at 16th Street.
