A 12-year-old Mission Valley Middle School student faces possible suspension amid allegations he took inappropriate pictures with his cell phone camera.

Police told KMBC-TV that the boy had three pictures on his cell phone looking up the skirts of female classmates.

"I think in the school environment, everything has changed. Violence issues have changed. There's mandated school reporting. We do take every offense report and send it to the DA's office. He's 12 years old. I think our goal here is to get the type of counseling and intervention that's needed at the time," Capt. Wes Jordan said.

KMBC reported that the boy faces possible misdemeanor eavesdropping charges. The school district said he could be suspended for 10 days or longer.
