WARREN, Mich. -- The question on many minds today is whether Kan. Gov. Kathleen Sebelius expects to be chosen by Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama as his running mate.Sebelius said Tuesday that she doesn't know, and she really isn't looking for new work. She said she's been working nonstop to get Obama elected. It's in her role as an advocate that brought her to Warren, Mich., where she addressed a town hall-style meeting to promote Obama to Michigan women.
Obama is expected to name a running mate before the Democratic National Convention starts Monday. Sebelius is believed to be on the list of contenders, along with Virginia Gov. Tim Kaine, Delaware Sen. Joe Biden and Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh.Sebelius said Obama would help women more than Republican John McCain when it comes to economic issues.
