sign at Crowe's car washA local man believes Oprah Winfrey should run for president of the United States and he's already campaigning for her at his car wash.

"With her money and success, I think she can do it," said Pat Crowe, owner of Wonderful Waldo Car Wash at 74th Street and Wornall Road.

KMBC's Donna Pitman reported Crowe is using the car wash to get the word out.

"On her show, she's diverse. If she could get an administration that is open to dialog, why not? It would helpful to the country," customer Joy Crimmins said.

Crowe said that he wants to drive Oprah down Pennsylvania Avenue in his vintage Ford.

One customer Pitman talked to was not so sure about Oprah as a presidential candidate.

Man: "Oprah for president?"

Pitman: "What do you think?"

Man: "No. The U.S. isn't ready for a woman yet."

Crowe told Pitman that Dr. Phil McGraw might make a good running mate for Oprah, too.
